This 20 city tour will be a unique and interactive experience, unlike any talk you’ve been to before. It will pick up where Bill McKibben’s landmark Rolling Stone article left off — and everyone who comes will be asked to join a growing movement that is strong enough to stand up to the fossil fuel industry.
The event hopes to mount an unprecedented campaign to cut off the industry’s financial and political support by divesting our schools, churches and government from fossil fuels.
The event brings together musicians, artists and voices from across the movement to work together on directly confronting the financial and political behind the fossil fuel industry.
The message of the event is clear: it's not OK to sacrifice our future for the sake of one industry’s bottom line.
The is grim math behind Climate Change is clear; we can burn 565 more gigatons of carbon and stay below 2°C of warming — anything more than that risks catastrophe for life on earth. The only problem? Fossil fuel corporations now have 2,795 gigatons in their reserves, five times the safe amount. And they’re planning to burn it all.
