This September 7th, the Next 50 celebration will look to the future of transportation with a conference on the coming transformations. Speakers and exhibits will discuss how the convergence of advances in information technology, communications, batteries, lightweight materials, smart grid technologies, aviation biofuels and electric vehicles are enabling the transformation of transportation—making mobility safer, faster, more affordable and greener. These advances will also help communities to be more livable, walkable and sustainable. Smart, connected, autonomous electric vehicles and high tech transportation hubs offering accessible transportation choices will be a central focus.
The program will have a one day agenda featuring transportation industry leaders, innovators, policy makers and nationally recognized authors to discuss the future of transportation in the next 5 to 15 years as well as the “Next 50.”
