Just Sustainability: Hope for the Commons

Hosted by the Seattle University Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability, Just Sustainability: Hope for the Commons will focus on the intimate connections between environmental justice and sustainability. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to connect with researchers, businesses, and communities that are bringing EJS issues to the fore of public discourse. 

Featured speakers include Earth Day cofounder Denis Hayes, Sarah Augustine of the Suriname Indigenous Health Fund, and Living Economies founder David Korten. Vandana Shiva will address the conference via a video messages, and Bill McKibben will appear through a live video feed.

The conference begins at noon on Thursday, August 7, and concludes at 4 pm on Saturday, the 9th. 

Registration includes a reception on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; and a continental breakfast and lunch on both Friday and Saturday.
