As your host, Portland State University will facilitate discussion Portlandaround the recent outcomes and findings from our class, Designing the Smart Grid for Sustainable Communities.  At this interactive conference, participants will collaborate to identify Smart Grid components and priorities that will support a more sustainable energy plan for the energy demands of the Pacific Northwest.

Participants will discuss feasibility considerations for the Smart Grid in:

·         Sustainable community design

·         Operations and Infrastructure

·         Renewable resources and energy efficiency

·         Demand response strategies

·         Smart Car/Garage (Electric and hybrid vehicle) integration

·         Energy creation and storage
