A former Climate solutions board member, James has a long standing interest in climate and is CTO of Micro Energy Credits, which sources carbon emission reduction credits from the developing world.  At Grameen, he led the development of the Microfinance Open Source (Mifos) project , a micro-banking software application and was recently CTO of VillageReach.  He has consulted on technology and extending financial services in dozens of countries.  

James holds a degree in MIS from the University of Notre Dame, and a Masters in international environmental policy from the University of Washington.
