Lars is an active cleantech angel investor and mentor to early stage cleantech companies. He is the co-chair of Element 8, the first angel organization in the country with an exclusive focus on cleantech. Until the summer of 2012, he was also an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Washington’s Center for Commercialization, helping commercialize clean technology inventions.

His background is in IT where he was an executive at Microsoft for a combined 16 years, the first five in his native country of Sweden. He came to the Northwest in 1993. Rather than just an intended two-year stay, he and his family are now calling the Northwest home. An avid skier, he loves to be on the mountain with his family and friends.
