Climate Solutions is seeking a Development Director
Climate Solutions is seeking an outstanding Development Director to lead our fundraising efforts. Over the past several years, Climate Solutions has grown significantly, doubling our annual budget and opening up offices in two new states. We are looking for a strong development leader to build on our success and help the organization continue to grow.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Climate Solutions' mission
is to accelerate practical and profitable solutions to global warming
by galvanizing leadership, growing investment and bridging divides in
the Pacific Northwest. Since our founding in 1998, Climate Solutions
has emerged as one of the most effective, accomplished climate groups
in the nation. We have led highly successful climate and clean energy
initiatives in the Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and
Montana, while supporting and building the base for strong national
action. We’ve built coalitions across cities and farms, business and
labor, and environmentalists and social justice advocates, for
innovative solutions to global warming. We mobilize different voices to
support a healthy clean energy future – with a stronger economy,
improved air quality, better transportation choices, energy efficiency,
and job creation.
From helping to launch the highly
successful US Mayors Climate Agreement, which now includes more than
1,000 cities; to helping to create the framework for the regional
Western Climate Initiative; to promoting renewable energy projects on
Northwest farms through our Harvesting Clean Energy program; to leading
the successful campaigns to pass a series of clean energy,
transportation, and energy efficiency bills in our region, Climate
Solutions has been at the forefront of establishing the Northwest as a
significant national leader on climate change. Climate Solutions is a
$2 million/year and growing operation with offices in Seattle, Olympia,
Portland, and Missoula.
