Business groups pressing Congress to address climate change are preparing for the summer solstice.

As lawmakers ponder their future, the solar power industry, outdoor recreation companies and a group called Business for Innovative Climate and Energy Policy, or BICEP, assert that the BP oil spill should help promote alternatives to oil and moves to slash greenhouse gases.

Democratic Senate leaders are expected to decide in the coming weeks whether enough political capital exists in this Congress to pass a climate bill and extend tax incentives for energy companies.
