Coal port sought 80M tons/yr capacity - AP Bloomberg Business Week

Millennium Bulk Terminals hopes to export 80 million of coal through a proposed facility west of Longview, nearly 15 times more than the company originally stated in a permit, according to internal company e-mails obtained by The Daily News on Thursday.


Executives for a company seeking to build a major port to ship U.S. coal to Asia had internal discussions as recently as December on a project that could handle 80 million tons of the fuel annually - about 15 times the volume disclosed publicly, documents show.
