Businesses Want a Comprehensive Federal Clean Energy Bill: Policy will level the playing field and provide more predictable environment for investment
People in the Northwest are generally supportive of energy independence. Our utilities have pioneered investments in conservation and energy efficiency, even with minimal incentives to do so. We have a proud history of supplying our own power through the development of hydroelectricity and, as a result, we are less dependent than many other parts of the country on expensive fossil fuels for electricity.
