Sarah Severn

Ms. Severn is Director of Stakeholder Mobilization for Nike, and amongst a range of activities, she leads Nike’s climate change advocacy strategy. In her 18-year career at Nike, she has spent 16 working dedicated to Nike’s sustainability journey. As Director of the Nike Environmental Action team from 1995 to 2000, Ms. Severn led the company’s early efforts to integrate sustainability into the business, from operations to product design and manufacturing. From 2000-2004 she was Director of Sustainable Development, focusing primarily on stakeholder engagement, corporate responsibility reporting and the identification of emerging issues. From 2005-2010, Ms. Severn took on the newly created role of Director of Horizons within the sustainability team. The Horizons function had responsibility for “looking long” and identifying future trends, opportunities and issues at the intersection of business and sustainability. In 2010 she took on her current role.
