When I think back over the last few years, I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Our movement is strong and resilient because of supporters like you, and together we’ve made so much progress in our work to take on the climate crisis.
But right now, the progress we’ve made is at risk.
Initiative 2117 will be on November’s statewide ballot and if it passes this year, it will repeal the Climate Commitment Act (CCA) and so many of the advancements we’ve made for our climate.
The Climate Commitment Act is Washington’s landmark climate law that drastically cuts emissions and toxic air pollution from the state’s biggest polluters. It also generates billions of dollars in investments for clean energy, our communities, and environmental justice. We’re already seeing the benefits of the CCA in communities throughout our state, but I-2117 would erase all these advancements toward our clean energy future.
We can’t afford to lose this progress.
We’ve always counted on our supporters to take action at critical times for our climate. Today we’re calling on you to make sure we protect all the work we’ve accomplished together.
