Sarbjit Nahal heads the Thematic Investing Strategy team at Bank of America (BofA) Merrill Lynch Global Research. The global strategy team works to implement the enterprise-wide “A Transforming World” framework (earth, government, innovation, markets, and people). This includes addressing thematic issues both from opportunity and risk perspectives - including education, energy efficiency, extreme weather and climate change, longevity, obesity and health & wellness, safety & security, waste, and water – as well as via screening tools such as the Global Megatrend Primer Picks, Stylish Themes, CO2 Screener, geographic risk, and ESG & Thematic Consensus models.

James Thompson James Thompson joined HaloSource in August 2004 as Chief Financial Officer. Thompson was re-appointed Senior Vice President Business Development in October 2013, a position he previously served from January 2012 to July 2012. He also served as General Manager - Americas from July 2012 to October 2013. Prior to joining HaloSource, Thompson was a principal with Alexander Hutton Venture Partners, a regional venture capital firm investing in emerging growth companies, and formerly an associate with Alexander Hutton Capital where he raised capital for technology start-ups in the Pacific Northwest. Thompson was also a securities analyst with Security Capital Group and began his career as a credit analyst for Continental Illinois National Bank. He holds a BBA from Gonzaga University and an MBA from the University of Washington.

Matt Rose Matt Rose is the Co-founder and CEO of Kirkland Analytics, a clean tech startup that sells automated, front-line water management solutions for buildings within the commercial and industrial space. With analytics at its core, Kirkland’s technology is saving a Fortune 50 retail corporation more than 20% on water use across an entire region. Rose’s background spans product development and process automation for wastewater treatment systems, executive level technology consulting, and as COO of a diagnostic imaging services company overseeing technology development and administration. Matt holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a MPA from Harvard.

TJ Mothersbaugh TJ Mothersbaugh is the Business Development Manager at WaterTectonics, an Everett-based water treatment and technology company. Since joining WaterTectonics in 2008, he has helped advance sales, marketing, and strategic initiatives, ultimately building the company from 15 to more than 60 employees. He spearheaded growth in WaterTectonics’ industrial business, closing over $10 million in new contracts and securing the company’s first two international installations. Mothersbaugh brings an on-the-ground understanding of what it takes to win, manage, and sustain success on challenging water treatment projects. He holds a BS in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University and is currently pursuing an MBA at UW’s Foster School of Business.
