Ash's influence extends beyond McKinstry, as he was appointed by Governor Jay Inslee to the Board of Trustees for Western Washington University in 2023 and to the Workforce Education Investment Accountability and Oversight Board in 2024. In addition, he serves on the Climate Solutions board and is a Deputy Director for the Washington Roundtable.
