Laurie has spent more than a decade working toward social change,including extensive experience in gender, LGTBQIA, and racial justice work. Laurie partners with organizations to develop DEI strategies that positively impact culture, center BIPOC (Black, Indigenous,and People of Color) voices, and create structures of accountability for consistent forward motion. She’s led diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for a variety of top-tier universities and national corporations, but her favorite clients are the small nonprofits she partners with on impactful work that changes our world for the better. Laurie believes that because systems of oppression cause us to circumvent our own humanity,antiracism work cannot only be accomplished by processing intellectually. Our Work toward a more just world is heart work, and though we must have grace for ourselves and others through the process, we must also remain focused on accountability.
