Teresita Torres is a partner with Waypoint Consulting, before which she served over three years as Associate Staff Attorney and Legislative Affairs Coordinator for Teamsters Local Union 117. Prior to lobbying for Teamsters 117, Teresita was an Attorney and Civil Rights Investigator with the Washington State Human Rights Commission for five years, during which time she also served as commissioner with the Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs. While in law school, Teresita worked for a firm specializing in family and criminal law, after which she chose to pursue advocacy of a different kind and served as Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House. Teresita is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association and Latino Political Action Committee.
