Oregon Clean Grid Summit

Please join the Oregon Clean Grid Collaborative for the first annual Oregon Clean Grid Summit! Join us at the World Forestry Center in Portland for a day filled with panel presentations, tabletop discussions, and networking opportunities focused on regional energy market and transmission.

This event will offer insights into the role of regional energy market and transmission development in achieving our clean energy mandates, delivering energy affordability and reliability, and supporting meaningful job creation in Oregon and the region. Panel discussions will feature industry experts, utility and government representatives, and community leaders from across Oregon.

Electrify Portland Home Electrification Fair

When: Sunday, September 15, 2024, Noon-4:00 pm

Electrify Portland is your one-stop shop for exploring high-efficiency heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar, and even electric lawn equipment—all with the guidance of trusted local contractors who specialize in home electrification. Test ride an e-bike! Talk with electrification experts, get personalized advice, and learn how to make an electrification plan. Plus, don’t miss our series of Lightning Talks on topics like community solar, navigating incentives, and home energy assessments.

We’ve got fun for the whole family, with a bouncy castle, food vendors, live music, and free Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches for everyone to enjoy. Bring your curiosity and your appetite and get inspired to make a real difference in your home and community.

Lake Oswego Electrification Fair

When: Saturday, September 28, 2024, 10:00 am-2:00 pm

Where: Lake Oswego United Methodist Church, 1855 South Shore Blvd, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

Come to the Lake Oswego Electric Home and Vehicle Fair! Talk with EV owners about their EVs, then test drive a dealer-owned EV and enter to win one of fifty $25 restaurant gift certificates. Speak to local contractors about heat pumps, solar panels, battery systems, sustainable homes, and electric landscaping. Spend time with electrification coaches and experts on financial incentives. Electrify PDX will be cooking desserts on induction hot plates. Talks every half hour on electrification topics.

CUB Conference

When: Friday, October 4, 2024, all-day

Where: Left Bank Annex, 101 N Weidler St, Portland, OR 97227

Energy Policy for People & Planet will explore the intersections between utility planning, customer affordability, and climate protections. How can we balance reducing emissions without raising disconnection rates? How can the planning process help create a more sustainable rate-making process? And how can we make the most of utility regulation to benefit customers and utilities?

The CUB Energy Policy Conference is designed as a day of discussion, networking, and sharing diverse perspectives. This conference is ideal for community groups, regulators, advocates, utility representatives, attorneys, or those interested in our region’s energy industry.

Oregon Communications Manager, Climate Solutions

Juan M. Muñoz Jiménez was born in Dayton, Ohio, half-raised in the Midwest and half in his native home of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Juan’s love for the outdoors brought him to the southwest after completing his MBA in marketing and international business at Wright State University. He has seven years of communications and marketing experience with affordable housing and environmental education nonprofits in New Mexico.  A recent transplant to the northwest, at Climate Solutions, Juan works with the Communications team and coalitions partners to push forward action on climate change in the state of Oregon.

In his free time, he volunteers for organizations like Latino Outdoors, to push for more outdoor equity in the Latino communities and enjoys fishing, archery and Judo.
